WELCOMES YOU

Welcome to Festival Trials Day, our final meeting before The Festival™ in March. This is always an extremely exciting raceday as The Village begins to take shape, and we see a number of horses have their final run before The Festival in just over six weeks’ time.

We have a brilliant eight race card on offer this afternoon, with the Paddy Power Cotswold Chase taking centre stage at 2:30pm, a race that has seen many winners go on to success at The Festival in the past. This year’s renewal will see the exciting Chantry House return to Cheltenham following his win at The Festival in 2021, as well as the popular Aye Right making the trip down from the Scottish borders. We wish all connections the best of luck.

The Welsh Marches Stallions At Chapel Stud Cleeve Hurdle is always an exciting race and the field heading to post today includes three Cheltenham Festival winners. Crowd favourite, Paisley Park, Lisnagar Oscar and the current favourite – Champ. It looks set to be a fascinating contest. Today we are treated to a parade of the Welsh Marches Stallions at Chapel Stud in the Parade Ring from 11:30am - 11:50am. The parade will include Planteur, Walzertakt and Bangkok. We encourage you all to head to the Parade Ring to enjoy seeing these beautiful horses.

After racing there will be live music in The Centaur from the Bootleg Beatles from 4:30pm – 5:30pm, as well as the Cheltenham January Sale taking place in the Tattersalls Sales Arena offering a select group of winning and placed point to pointers and NH form horses.

As ever, we would like to thank our sponsors on the card today; Paddy Power, SSS Super Alloys, JCB, Timeform, Chapel Stud, and Ballymore. We wish them and their guests a wonderful day with us.

We hope you enjoy your time on course today and look forward to welcoming you back here in just over six weeks for the four greatest days in Jump racing.
