Suzano has structured tourism.

With a series of stunning locations to be explored, the municipality of Suzano, in the Alto Tietê region, offers fun, leisure, and history for residents and tourists who come to the city.

Officially, Suzano has six public tourist spots that can be visited and contemplated free of charge. These places tell the story of the municipality, which turns 72 in April 2021. Shall we start our tour?

Baruel Square

The first stop is at ground zero in Suzano, the “cradle” of the city! Praça Ernestina Maria de Jesus Bianchi, better known as Praça do Baruel for hosting the Church of the same name. The site was reopened in 2019, becoming a tourist center and promoting trade and job creation.

Church of Baruel, built in the 17th century and rebuilt in 1916, with its white and blue painting, is visited by several people, in addition to being the meeting point for festivities promoted by the city hall.

With its unique beauty, the square is located in the District of Palmeiras, on the Indio Tibiriçá highway, without number, km 60, in the Baruel neighborhood. Currently, the place receives janitorial care from the Municipal Nursery Tomoe Uemura (another tourist spot in the city, which we will talk about soon).
