CME ACCREDITATION

YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARDS

We understand that CME is a crucial element for many. We’re currently seeking accreditation for e-ECE 2020 with the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). Information will be provided on the e-ECE 2020 website (www.ece2020.org) as soon as it is available.

We are pleased to be announcing the twelve winners of our Young Investigator Awards during e-ECE 2020! After careful consideration by the e-ECE Programme Organising Committee, each winner will receive €1,000. The awards are judged based on the achieved abstract scores, which are determined by the ECE Abstract Review Committee. The final decision will then made by the e-ECE Programme Organising Committee.

ESE ON DEMAND e-ECE doesn’t end with the Closing Ceremony thanks to ESE On Demand. ESE On Demand offers all delegates 24-hour access to all programme content;* including our plenaries, award lectures, meet the expert, oral communications and debate sessions, as well as all the Congress abstracts and ePosters for 60 days following e-ECE 2020. Visit www.eseondemand.org to explore the content from previous Congresses, and to familiarise yourself with this platform again - as this is where e-ECE 2020 will be hosted.

QUIZ AND SOCIAL EVENT We will be holding our first ever virtual quiz and social event on Sunday 6 September (20:00 CET). Come along and test your knowledge, have fun and find out who comes out as e-ECE 2020’s quiz whiz! Set a reminder in your calendar to ensure you don’t miss out. *Where permisison is granted

PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS We have worked with our Focus Area Leads to ensure that there is a wealth of content for every area of endocrinology. We caught up with Daniela Cota, the Basic Science Lead for the Diabetes, Obesity, Metabolism & Nutrition Focus Area to see what session she is looking forward to at e-ECE 2020: "The role of the microbiome in metabolic disease is one of the hottest topics in the field of endocrinology today. This is why my personal highlight is: Plenary 3: Harnessing the microbiome in metabolic disease" Here is one of the top picks from Calcium and Bone leads Wim van Hul and Lars Rejnmark: "We are looking forward to the Clinical Endocrinology Trust Lecture given by Richard Eastell. Postmenopausal osteoporosis is a very common disease and is of great interest to clinicians and researchers alike."
