VELLORE CMC FOUNDATION‘S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT CMC IN HER DRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION AND RESEARCH.

our mission

We at the Vellore CMC Foundation strive to create meaningful partnerships that have tangible and long lasting impacts on the underresourced communities CMC serves. Our efforts are rooted in (1) compassionate, high-quality care for the underserved; (2) medical, nursing, and allied health services education; (3) advanced scientific research; (4) connecting medical professionals, researchers, students, alumni, and faith-based organizations with CMC, (5) major capital project support, and (6) ensuring the lasting legacy of CMC’s founder, Dr. Ida S. Scudder. Dr. Scudder inspires us every day, and we strive to do our part as witnesses to the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Through the generosity of our philanthropic partners, we have contributed $18M to CMC‘s charitable care programs, invested $500K into academic scholarships, provided $250K for scientific research at CMC, and invested over $11M into capital projects through USAID‘s ASHA program since our founding. And, we will continue to do much more.

Scudder, and by ensuring that her tireless commitment to compassionate care is embedded in the education of future health-care professionals and medical scientists trained at CMC.
