Nebraska's coach Francis Allen will serve as the team's head coach and Yefim Furman from UCLA and Ed Burch from Gold Cup will be the assistant coaches.

Hanks was followed by Roethlisberger, who took a fall on his first two optional events, high bar and floor. Nebraska's Mark Warburton placed ninth and Temple's Dominick Minicucci rounded out the top 10. Gold Cup's Trent Dimas, who finished fourth at last year's Championships, had a rough compulsory pommel horse (8.45) and rings routine (9.10) imd finished in 12th place after compulsories. During the optional vault competition, Dimas completely missed the horse on his round off entry vault and landed on his back. Dimaswasblindedbyaflash on a camera and was allowed to attempt the vault again. This time he nailed it and scored a 9.80. Unfortunately, the low compulsory scores couldn't pull him up any further than 11th place in the
rankings. 'Tmnotvery happy," said Dimas. "I really wanted to make the World Championships Team and I wasn' t-evenclose." Rounding out the Senior National Team were Ohio State's Mike Racanelli,12th; Nebraska's Bob Stelter, 13th; Stanford's Tim Ryan, 14th; Oklahoma's Jeff Lutz, 15th; Stanford's Jair Lynch, 16th; Broadway Gymnastics' David St. Pierre, 17th; and Stanford Gymnastics Club's Kyle Asano, 18th.
