Responsibility: The Tuomisto Manor from the 16th century, by the lake Rautavesi in Karkku, has been owned by the same family since the 1870’s. The owner, Tuuli Lovén, has opened part of the manor for retreats, serving wellness tourism. The retreats are intended for groups upon order and led by professionals. The manor is also a great venue for events, courses and conferences. The authentic manor atmosphere is soothing to the body and soul. The manor is also full of old tales of fairies, gnomes, and the history of its farm.

Its speciality is an apple orchard from the 1850’s with about 170 old trees. The apple juice, Tuomiston Kultainen omena, is made from the harvest. Tuomisto Healing Food Kitchen’s organic vegetarian soul food with wild herbs is always part of the retreats. Its main ingredients are the fresh produce of the farm.
