World Investment Report 2014: Investing in the SDGs - An Action Plan United Nations
The World Investment Report series provides the latest data and analysis of foreign direct investment (FDI) and other activities of transnational corporations, as well as the policies to regulate them at the national and international levels. The 2014 edition of the report traces the key developments in FDI over 2013 and, in its thematic part, presents a framework for facilitating the mobilization of private sector finance for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to policy guidance, the report proposes a number of concrete initiatives for enhancing the role of the private sector. The report should prove a useful tool for governments, the international community and the business community in their efforts towards contributing to the SDGs.

The Least Developed Countries Report 2014: Growth with Structural Transformation - Post-2015 Development Agenda United Nations
As we reach the target date to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the Report analyses the performance of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) in progressing towards these goals and provides a framework for their development policies after 2015. Due to the high degree of differentiation among the LDCs’ performance in achieving these goals it seems that most of the MDGs’ will be unattainable. This disappointing outcome is surprising given that LDCs have experienced high economic growth rates over the last 20 years, and domestic and international policies for LDCs have set MDGs as a top priority. In the coming post-2015 period, the LDCs will face the challenge of achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs), for which structural transformation will be a precondition.
