Double degrees and other programmes

A MEcon degree equips you with the fundamentals required to understand, analyse and develop economic processes. Application-oriented empirical analysis methods support your strategic decision-making processes. This will enable you to pursue a career with a wide range of possibilities. Not only banks, insurance companies, public services, administrations and private enter­ prises are interested in MEcon graduates, but reputable business consultancies also regularly employ well educated economists.

• The HSG’s School of Economics and Political Science cooperates with renowned universities in Europe. Our students have an opportunity to apply for an exclusive MEcon double degree place at SSE Stockholm or CBS Copenhagen. After two to two and a half years’ successful studies, you will thus obtain an additional, full-value Master’s degree from another top European university. • Other double degree programmes are offered by the HSG with ESADE Barcelona, Spain; HEC Paris, France; RSM Erasmus University, Rotterdam, the Netherlands • CEMS Master’s in International Management • Exchange programmes with over 170 partner universities worldwide

MEcon admission criteria • A university degree that is recognised as equivalent, in the same or a similar major, with at least 180 ECTS credits • Supplementary work may be required • Foreign nationals: minimum scores in international tests (GMAT 650, GRE 158 or LSAT 161); alternatively the admission test of the University of St.Gallen can be taken • Proficiency in the English language (Level C1 CEF: e.g. TOEFL internet-based 100 points, IELTS 7.0) Please note that the admission criteria may be subject to change.
