Last year, the University of Regina awarded more than $7.3 million in scholarships and bursaries. Scholarships reward outstanding academic achievement, awards recognize extracurricular involvement or volunteerism, and bursaries assist students with financial needs. Don’t worry, we make it easy for you to apply – you can apply for awards using our SAMS database!

For information on all scholarships, visit www.uregina.ca/costaid/funding/undergraduate-scholarships/sams.html and use SAMS, our Student Awards Management System, to search and apply for awards online. Entrance Award applications and supporting documents must be submitted online or to the University of Regina by the March 15 deadline.

Government Student Assistance

You’ll have access to two forms of financial aid from both the provincial and federal governments — loans and grants. If you apply for student loans, you’ll be required to start to repay them once you’re no longer a full-time student. Grants, in most cases, do not need to be repaid. When applying for government assistance, make sure to apply in your home province — even if you are moving to Saskatchewan to study.

• Early conditional or final admission average over 85%

• Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents applying from a Canadian high school for the Bachelor of Business Administration

Government student assistance is intended to help you pay for your education. The amount of assistance available will depend on your personal and family situation and can only be determined after you have submitted a student loan application.
