First-Year Experience

The Office of First-Year Experience (FYE) is committed to supporting you through your transition to the academic and social communities of the university so you are able to find your place, people, and passions. FYE programming promotes campus engagement, interdisciplinary scholarship, relationship building, and exploration of New Orleans. Programs such as the First-Year Seminar, Residential Faculty Mentors, and the Newcomb-Tulane College Reading Project prepare first-year students for the academic expectations and rigor of the university. First-Year Seminar Peer Mentors provide routine academic and social guidance and connect students to campus resources.
