Rent the Rink Community Room

Don’t want to host a party in your home? Rent the Hommocks Park Ice Rink Community Room for group meetings or private parties. Rental Fees are based on a four hour period. Room dimensions are 46’ x 40’ with a maximum occupancy of 131 people. No smoking or alcohol is allowed. There is a 9:00 pm curfew. No outside food or beverages are permitted. Catering must be provided through the Barn Burner Grill.

$400/4hr. rental; $75 for each additional hour.

$450/4hr. rental; $75 for each additional hour.

Pool Information

The Hommocks Swimming Pool is restricted to persons holding a valid membership and their guests. All guests are required to pay a guest fee. A pool membership is required to participate in pool programs.

The pool is subject to the School District Schedule and will be closed on Snow Days, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Memorial Day. Fall maintenance will take place the week after Labor Day.

General Protocols and Guidelines

• Management reserves the right to close certain sections and/or pools to ensure swimmer safety and meet health code requirements. Patrons are expected to familiarize themselves with all the pool rules and regulations. The Town of Mamaroneck reserves the right to change its guidelines, policies & schedule as needed.

• Please, use gender specific locker room with children over 6 years old.

• Children 14 and under sent to the pool without adequate supervision will not be allowed admittance.

• Babies still in the “diaper stage” are permitted in the pools when wearing a swim diaper.

• Strollers and chairs are not permitted on the pool deck.

• During the school year, lap swimming lanes have limited availability from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.

• Pools will close upon the first clap of thunder or sighting of lightning and will remain closed until management deems it safe to reopen. No Refunds on Guest fees for inclement weather conditions.

Pool Membership Information

Family: Unlimited usage with this membership. Each member of the household (Parent(s) & Children under 23 years of age) will be issued a membership card.

Individual: Unlimited usage with this membership.

Senior Citizen: Unlimited usage with this membership. Eligibility is age 65 & older. Proof of age is required at time of purchase.

Basic Individual: Once purchased, an additional fee will be required with each visit. Can be used in conjunction with all aquatic programs.

*Nonresident: Adult (14 & older) $9 Youth (13 & under) $6 (No guest privileges allowed with this membership)

Ages 6 months – 2 ½

This course consists of six half-hour swim lessons where the parent and child learn together under instructor supervision. Acclimate your child to water and learn to instruct your child in the areas of bubble blowing, reaching, pulling and kicking. Parents must participate with their child in the water and child must wear a swim diaper or rubber pants over their diaper. Make up classes are for cancellations made by the Recreation Department ONLY.

This course is for children not ready for group lessons or able to separate from their parents, but who are starting to swim or move on their own with a floatation device. Parents have the option to start in the water and then slowly separate to allow the child to gain confidence.

Mandatory Skills Evaluation:

All swim lessons are divided into TOTS (3 -5 yrs) and YOUTH (6 - 12 yrs) and will be assigned a half-hour time slot by the aquatics staff based on the results of the skills evaluation. Participants may NOT register for a specific class time. The class assignments will be emailed out the Thursday before classes begin after 4:00 pm. Missed skills evaluation will delay class placement and participation. Child to instructor ratio of 5:1 for Tots and 6:1 for Youth will be maintained. Registration is required prior to the skills evaluation, NO registrations will be taken after the skills evaluation.

Dolphins Pre Team

Dolphins is a non-competitive pre team program for children who have progressed out of swim lessons but are not ready for the competiveness of a swim team. Participants will learn the fundamentals of competitive strokes, starts and turns. Must be able to swim one length of the pool using front crawl and one length back stroke. Staff will evaluate participants on the first day of class. Great program for summer swimmers to swim year round.

Our adult swim lessons include beginner and advanced levels. So, whether you started learning to swim as a child, but never quite mastered it, or are looking to improve your current skills, we’re here to help you learn to swim in a supportive environment. Adults who have limited or no swim experience will become comfortable in the water, learn basic swimming techniques, and water safety. Adults who wish to advance their swimming skills can do so under the guidance of a professionally trained instructor. It’s never too late to learn how to swim!

B Water: Triathlon Swim Program Ages 15 & up

Learn how to get faster and use less energy for your next race! This program is specifically for triathletes with a freestyle stroke focus. All sessions will include technique drills and interval sets to help improve strokes, open water skills and performance! Must be able to swim freestyle/front crawl to participate.
