The work at Lexington’s Barrier Roofs’ roofing division starts and ends with the homeowners needs and wants, with reasonable expectations set throughout. The group’s passion for exteriors permeates its work on roofs, windows, siding, masonry and gutters. On what puts his company at the pinnacle of their field, Barrier says, “We don’t cut corners. We install a quality roofing shingle system. Barrier Roofs has grown in many directions this past year, including opening new branches in Somerset, Kentucky, and London, Kentucky. “Our goal is to best serve our clients in each area,” Justin explains. “Having brick and mortar offices in each of these locations allows us to best serve the people in the surrounding areas.”

Barrier attributes much of their success to the company’s employees. “Barrier Roofs’ focus has been bringing on new members that are better vetted to our company standard. We like to rate them in the categories of hungry, humble, and smart. We’ve had great luck this year finding quality employees in a labor pool that has been relatively thin.”

In addition to his passion for cultivating new team members, Barrier also shared an enthusiasm for the region that he serves. “I hope the people who have lived in Central Kentucky for their whole lives realize the beauty here,” he said. “When we have friends visit, they are always like, ‘Wow, those rolling green hills look like Ireland! And look at all of those horses behind these stone walls! And ‘is that another distillery’?”
