A MESSAGE FROM LEADERSHIP DEAR FRIENDS,
What an exciting year we have had! Our biggest news was the rebrand which took place in the fourth quarter of 2022. We changed our name from North Colorado Medical Center Foundation to Weld Legacy Foundation. With the new name came a new website and sharing our vision for the future of our organization.
We will continue to honor our past with designated funds to support the department needs of North Colorado Medical Center, as well as assist the patients undergoing treatment for a serious illness. We will also continue to award scholarships with the established scholarship endowments for students pursuing a career in healthcare.

In addition to our grants and scholarships, we are going to start providing capacity building services to help other nonprofits and schools. Our goal is to help these Weld County organizations further deepen their impact on the individuals and families they serve.
Going forward, we will continue to raise funds toward health and education initiatives for Weld County citizens through fundraising events and support of caring donors like you. Check out our website, www.weldlegacy.org, to learn more about the fundraising events we have planned in 2023.
The grants we award and the new capacity building services we will be undertaking would not be possible without your generous donations.
Thank you for your continued support!
Kind regards,
JEFF CARLSON ROY OTTO Chief Executive Officer Director of Community Impact

New Name And Expanded Service
In 2022, Weld Legacy Foundation rebranded to expand its mission. The organization began supporting the health-related needs of the Weld County community in 1975 as the Weld County General Hospital Foundation. The name was later changed to the North Colorado Medical Center Foundation and today is known as Weld Legacy Foundation (“WLF”).
Today, WLF continues to support the community through a variety of funds dedicated to individual health-related needs, department needs for North Colorado Medical Center and continuing education for their staff, as well as scholarships for nursing and other healthcare careers.
Mission statement: To promote excellence in health and education in Weld County.
In planning for the future, WLF will begin offering services to promote the capacity of other nonprofits and schools across Weld County. The types of services which will be most impactful for these organizations are currently being evaluated. With nearly 50 years of nonprofit experience, WLF hopes to share tools and resources to assist them with improving their operational capacities to help multiply their impact for the citizens they serve.
