BOARD CHANGES AT WESTCHESTER LAND TRUST
ENTA EXEC REAPPOINTED TO GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE
Westchester Land Trust (WLT) has a new chairman of its board of directors. He’s Bruce Churchill, a resident of Pound Ridge. He replaces Jonathan Wiesner, who steps down after serving as chairman for five years. Wiesner now will co-lead WLT’s Advisory Board. Churchill has been on the board of directors for three years. During Wiesner’s tenure, WLT completed 24 land-conservation projects, protecting 735 acres in Westchester and eastern Putnam counties, and was reaccredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. It also helped preserve Stuart’s Fruit Farm in Somers, the oldest working farm in Westchester County. Churchill recently retired after 30 years as a media executive with companies such as Paramount Pictures, Fox Television and DIRECTV. “I am eager to begin my new role, working more closely with WLT’s talented staff and dedicated directors during this exciting time for the organization,” he said. Beth Crowell of Bedford joins the board after serving as co-chair of WLT’s 2016 annual benefit. Crowell manages her own residential interior design business. She began her career at Christie’s Auction House and Peter Marino Architects. New to the board is Joseph Edgar of Pound Ridge. He is managing director and corporate counsel for the Pataki Cahill Group, a specialized development firm. He also maintains a private legal practice and is a board member of the New York League of Conservation Voters, Westchester. New member Marjorie Kaufman of Mamaroneck brings to WLT’s board more than 30 years of investment management and banking experience. She is the senior consulting principal with NexTier Companies. In 2010, Kaufman was named one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds by the Hedge Fund Journal. Ron Burke of Stamford joins the advisory board. He has 30 years in environmental law and environmental risk management. He worked for GE Capital and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Mount Kisco resident Jerry Goldstein, who served on WLT’s board of directors for more than 20 years, has moved to the advisory board.
Robert Glazer, CEO of Tarrytown-based ENT and Allergy Associates LLP (ENTA), has been reappointed to the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District of New York State. His new term runs through November 2019. The committee, which is made up of both attorney and nonattorney volunteer members, is tasked with reviewing complaints lodged against members of the New York State Bar Association. The committee decides whether Robert Glazer there is probable cause to believe a lawyer violated professional conduct rules as imposed by the Supreme Court of New York. If the answer is “yes,” the committee then decides whether disciplinary action is warranted. “I am honored to once again be asked to serve as a member of Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District and do my part in such an important civic organization,” said Glazer. “I pledge to ensure the highest standards of conduct are practiced by the legal professionals of our state.” Glazer joined ENTA in 1997 and has more than 30 years of health care administrative experience. ENTA has 180 physicians at 40 offices in New York and New Jersey.

Denise Wenacur Customer service honors are based on several factors, including the number and quality of client reviews a professional receives. DW Design & Decor provides customized interior design services for residential and commercial projects throughout Westchester and surrounding areas. The firm’s founder, Denise Wenacur, has been in the design business for about 30 years. She said that her team “strives to meet the unique vision of each individual project along the way and continually enhances the personal experience for each and every one of our clients.” Wenacur is a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design. She is in the American Society of Interior Designers and International Interior Design Association.
NEW PARTNERS AT ECKERT SEAMANS The law firm Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC has two new partners joining its White Plains office. The firm has more than 360 attorneys in 14 offices throughout the U.S. Timothy P. Coon has tried cases involving employment matters in both state and federal courts as well as before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He also handles claims involving professional liability, financial markets, civil rights, medical and complex commercial matters. He has conducted trials in California, Mississippi, Florida, New Jersey, and New York. Coon earned his law degree from Pace University Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College. Geraldine A. Cheverko will be involved in financial services litigation. Cheverko has litigated matters in Connecticut and New York state and federal appellate courts. She has counseled financial institutions on avoiding risks with respect to litigated matters. She has also handled mediations and arbitrations for clients. Cheverko earned her law degree, cum laude, from the Pace University Law School, where she was editor-in-chief of the Pace Law Review. She earned her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Pace. Cheverko clerked for Joan Glazer Margolis, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District of Connecticut. She is a member of the Federal Bar Council.
NEW SALESPEOPLE AT ERA INSITE Louis Budetti, principal broker of ERA Insite Realty Services, reports that licensed real estate salespersons Rehanna Ebrahim and Richard Sauerhaft have joined the company’s sales team. Ebrahim will be based in the White Plains office and Sauerhaft in Bronxville. Ebrahim holds a bachelor of science degree from New York University and a master’s degree in adolescent science education from Adelphi University. She is a teacher and department chair at the Bronx Lab School, where she has been affiliated for the past 10 years. Sauerhaft comes to real estate with many years of management-level experience in both advertising and insurance. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he was president of its Alumni Club of Westchester for more than a decade. ERA Insite Realty Services has been operating for 32 years at the same headquarters location at 600 N. Broadway in White Plains and also has offices at 120 Kraft Ave. in Bronxville and 635 Commerce St. in Thornwood.
