Beginning from the 14th of January to the 13th of May, 2022, over 4000 incoming first-year students of PHINMA-University of Pangasinan have been granted the Hawak-Kamay scholarship for the school year 2022-2023.

4032 new incoming freshman grantees, all divided into 8 batches, have now been newly rewarded the Hawak-Kamay scholarship for the new school year. This has always been a notable pre-enrollment university tradition as students who are about to enter their first year in college apply and wait for their names to appear on the list of qualified beneficiaries. Once their slots have been reserved, only then can students be able to have 25, 50, or 75% of their tuition fee for that particular semester be discounted.

With over 9 schools in partnership nationwide, PHINMA Education assures their learners not only quality education and experience but helping hands as well. Financial instability has been one of the major reasons for the increasing drop-out rate in schools, and so scholarships are of huge help to families, especially in a country where education is highly valued. If you are an incoming Senior High School student or College Freshman who is still on the fence to enroll in a private school, PHINMA Education has something for you.

Their Hawak Kamay Scholarship offers up to 75% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees, it is valid for the entire program duration and requires no maintaining grade. The scholarship program has changed the lives of recipients, as exhibited in the following #HKStories.

"Your kind consideration in granting me 50% scholarship for my tuition fee has been a very big help relative to my present condition as a solo parent who is still a student... The 50% obligation that had been freed by my scholarship is being used fr the supplies of my two-year-old daughter and for the purchase of my school supplies and requirements. I am fervently and sincerely hoping that my caring alma mater will never get tired of helping out less fortunate students like me. PHINMA UPang College Urdaneta stood strongly on my behalf and I am willing to serve my alma matter as an expression of my gratitude. "

"As a person, I couldn't imagine myself pursuing college when it comes to finances. But because of my goals in life, I've tried my best. I became a working student to support my everyday allowance in school for I know that we are not financially stable. For all those hardships of mine, I can say that I am one of the luckiest students to enroll in PHINMA UPang College of Urdaneta. I am one of those students that were granted to take a scholarship program which is the Hawak Kamay Scholarship. The 50% discount that is granted to me is a big help for me and my mom who is trying her best for me to continue college. I am a third-year student taking up a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and still a scholar of HK. I am happy and blessed for having this scholarship and will be forever grateful. "
