November! The Scottish cultural community was rocked last month by the sudden closure of Edinburgh’s Filmhouse, and the unceremonious redundancies of its staff, as well as those of Edinburgh International Film Festival. We invite some of the people whose lives have been enriched or altered by these institutions (hint: everyone in Scottish film) to share what made them so vital, and consider what needs to be saved from the organisational ashes.
