Best cities for coffee lovers

Some people live for their cup of joe. In fact, the National Coffee Association found that 62% of Americans drink coffee every day, with the average coffee drinker consuming three cups daily. WalletHub.com notes, “Coffee consumption has also risen 8% since January 2020, in part due to the stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic.” As winter sinks its teeth in, coffee will continue to fill many mugs and thermoses; however, some cities have a more robust java culture than others. WalletHub compared the U.S.’s 100 largest cities across 12 key indicators of coffee lover-friendliness to determine the best coffee scene.

It notes, “Our data set ranges from coffee shops, coffee houses and cafés per capita to the average price per pack of coffee.”
