Hi, Mom! Happy Mother’s Day
WATER + FAMILY FUN | Readers’ celebrations Thanks, Mom!
They nurture like no other. They define unconditional love. They are our beacons of light and hope, and also the quiet strength through which we are fueled.
They’re our moms, our best friends, the grandest smiles in our worlds, and the leading ladies in our lives.

Happy Mother’s Day to all Kosciusko County moms from LAKElife Magazine. And a special thanks to all readers who submitted a note for their mom—whether she’s far away, Above, or just across the lake.
Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful mother! We’ll drink to our legs! Love, Bekah Happy Mother’s Day to my mother-in-law, Phyllis. Here she is celebrating her birthday last summer on Lake Wawasee. Love her family! Love, Laurel 1962, when I was nine months old, my parents got a place at Dewart Lake. When my Dad passed away in 1993, Mom vowed to keep it going for her 5 children and grandchildren. In 2019, at the age of 89, Mom decided it was time and my husband and I purchased it from her. We are continuing the tradition with our children and grandchildren.

Thank you Mom, Donna Yentes, for keeping the lake place going for us all. We are very blessed to call you Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma! We Love you! —Tami and Eric Overman and family
My mother, Barbara, raised 13 children. She was the heart, soul, and foundation of our family. My parents were hard working + didn’t have much, but my mom taught us to share what we had + that family was everything! Also she gave us all her wonderful sense of humor. She would have loved to see the sunsets on Sechrist Lake!! —Lucia Dear Mom (Becky Hartman),
Thank you for having a dream to live on Lake Tippecanoe and making it come true! Your positive attitude, love, and generosity set a shining example for everyone around you! —Lyn Crighton

Here’s Marilyn Anglin enjoying boating on Lake Tippecanoe. She and my dad (Dan Anglin) have had a place and boat on Tippy since 1973. Many happy memories and more generations growing up being ‘lakers.’ —Aimee Anglin Graves Haleigh catches a fish… yes, generation #3 is loving Patona Bay!
Mom,
Thank you for being the most amazing mother and friend that a son could ever ask for. You are strongwilled, compassionate, beautiful inside and out, and have had such a positive impact on everyone’s lives who have been lucky enough to befriend you along the way. We all love you. —Nolan
Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom, Shannon. Here she is pictured with her grandchildren, Avery and Carter on Lake Tippy last summer. Love, Laurel Happy Mother’s Day to one of my most favorite lil’ ladies, my mother-inlaw, Nancy! Thank you for being such a warmth with your love, kindness + humor—and thanks for raising the great guy I get to call my husband.
I love you! —Sue

I would like to honor our daughters-in-law, Missy and Sara, for being such wonderful mothers to our six grandchildren. —Bonnie
Dear Mary Lou,
Thank you for being my greatest inspiration... if I become half the woman you are, I’ve done well. Thank you for making sure I did not, in fact, have to live with the squirrels when I broke the new oven—or when I allegedly facilitated unexpected introductions to law + judicial enforcement in my teens. (Whew!) Truly, you’re my rock, my pal, my confidant, my counselor, and my beautiful best friend. And thank you for keeping every magazine I’ve been in for the last 30 years. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. I love you. —Sue
