the device is used in cosmetic practice under practitioner guidance, in ways that align with regulatory requirements.
Compliance, Care, and Client Transparency Clinics often prioritise devices that meet the requirement of being included on the ARTG before supply in Australia and that are intended for use by appropriately trained health professionals. These technologies are applied in ways that align with professional guidance and regulatory standards. This approach flows into the client experience at Face by Alex Pike. Consultations emphasise transparency and education, setting realistic expectations and ensuring clients understand practitioner-selected parameters and aftercare. Treatment plans are clinician-led and developed to align with relevant professional standards. The Toorak space brings together cosmetic services and clinician-led treatments within a framework that prioritises compliance, clear communication, and governance. By pairing advanced devices like the Aerolase Neo Elite with experienced practitioners, the clinic aims to keep treatments compliant and aligned with best-practice standards.
From Nursing to Leadership Her pathway has been clinical from the beginning. Starting out as a Plastic Surgery nurse at Cabrini Hospital, Alex transitioned into injectables in 2004. She went on to spend four years with Plastic Surgeon Bryan Mendelson in Toorak, gaining insight into surgical and non-surgical facial practice. A year working alongside Dermatologist Dr Gordon Rennick followed, broadening her scope as a Cosmetic Nurse. In later years, she co-founded Delete Medical Laser, gaining experience with Fotona devices and contributing to laser-led service development. By 2018, she had opened her second clinic in Melbourne, balancing business leadership with a hands-on clinical role.
