Constance Carter is a successful CEO and entrepreneur with several businesses and a bestselling author. As a newly single mother, she is successfully balancing the demands of motherhood with business growth. Carter continues to raise three boys and a daughter. Meanwhile, she finds the time to grow her businesses to become reigning successes. It is clear that her future will be even brighter.
Carter began her journey to becoming a business mogul at the age of 18 when she landed a job at Hewlett Packard in IT in Silicon Valley. She attended some college and trade school, but she was self-taught and skilled in computer systems and software. By age 23, she was married with one child, had purchased her first home, and had obtained a real estate license a few years later. Her business practices grew to be fruitful, but unfortunately in 2009, she was forced to file bankruptcy.
A short year later, in 2010, Carter defied the odds by turning around the table of her setback. She had a vision and became the Founder and CEO of Catalyst Real Estate Professionals, a full-service residential and commercial sales and lending firm. Failure was not an option for her, so through blood, sweat and tears, Catalyst soon became the largest African American-owned, not to mention, Black female-owned Real Estate Firm in California. To date, she has six staff members and 75 field agents throughout California. Her success has also allowed her to become an investor in residential and commercial real estate and cannabis ventures.
Carter was not remiss in sharing the knowledge when she authored two best-selling books. The first is titled The Secret to Breaking the BROKE Code—Five Steps to Growth, Abundance and Overflow. She wrote this book to help people realize their full God-given potential. The second book entitled, Keeping Score—What You need to Know to Make Your Credit Score Grow. She masterfully details a plan to help people repair their credit. She collaborated on a third book with two other women: The One Book-We Must Overcome Obstacles and Never Give Up on the Road to Having Our Best Year Ever. The three women chronicled their own individual journeys as they overcame obstacles in their lives.
In March 2020, Carter expanded her vision board and opened The Co-Op Spot in Sacramento, CA. Two weeks later, due to the sudden onset of the COVID19 pandemic, she was forced to shut down. COVID devastated The Co-Op Spot business, and she suffered financially as a direct result. However, once again, failure was not an option for her. In June of 2021, she celebrated the grand re-opening of The Co-Op Spot, which is now found in two locations, Sacramento and Stockton, CA. An ongoing invitation is extended to the community and for exclusive private membership. She offers a great membership model.
“We offer a place for people to come to work, create, and collaborate,” said Carter.
The Co-Op Spot membership is open to Entrepreneurs, Creatives, Forward Thinkers, Executives, and Disruptors.
She strives to include people who care about the community and can contribute to the community. The Co-Op Spot offers event spaces, office spaces, a library, an auditorium, classrooms, and multi-purpose rooms. All members have full access to all events with free or discount tickets.
Carter is offering membership at a discounted rate of $250 to readers of THE HUB Magazine who mention this article. Constance Carter herself is a forward thinker and a disruptor. What is it she can’t achieve? n
