The Heat Seekers: Tell us how you got started?

Karla Bella: I got started at 7-years-old singing/ Music/ MC/ with my father who used to sing as a fill-in for the Ohio Players from his hometown, Ohio.

THS: What was your ultimate goal when you started rapping?

KB: The Goal was to make everyone smile and be happy from listening to my music as well as take care of my family one day with my talent.

THS: How do you balance music and family?

KB: I Keep God first. I’m steady praying the 91st Psalm over my family as I’m keeping my foot down on my kids and thanking my parents for the support they give me with my children

THS: How long have you been on this journey with music and acting?

KB: Started at 7 but took it serious at 13 in Middle school.

THS: Do you write music?

KB: Yes

THS: Who have you have worked with? What are you most proud of achieving?

KB: I’ve worked with Yoyo. My farther Karl, who’s now deceased, he would always vibe with me as well as Rap-a-lot Records, J Prince Sr., Scarface, Bushwick Bill, 5thWard Boyz, O G Big Mike, Jacci McGhee,Bunny DeBarge, Keith Sweat, and everyone pretty much from the Houston Rap-a-lot family.

THS: What keeps you going?

KB: The fact knowing I was always going to make it in my heart, no matter what.

THS: Who inspired you in the industry?

KB: Queen Latifah, Salt-n-Peppa, Yoyo, Mc Lyte, Sweet T, Roxane Shante and all of the old school Hip-Hop.

THS: What would you like to see differently in the music or acting industry?

KB: I would like to see more of us underground entertainers that never get a chance to come above the scene finally get seen.

THS: If you could give any advice to an up-andcoming music artist, what would it be?

KB: Keep God first and believe in yourself. And when God blesses you to get a chance to shine go back and help someone else and give them a chance.

THS: What are your future music goals from here?

KB: To stay focused on writing / Beats/and listening to life putting them in real form of music so everyone can relate to while bringing all nationalities together.
