A Legacy of Achievement Charletta and Larry Thomas

Building a Legacy of Compassion: Charletta and Larry Thomas’ Journey With A Place At Home In the heart of the Acadiana region of Louisiana, you can find Charletta and Larry Thomas, owners of A Place At Home — Lafayette. Showing compassion and helping others drives the husband and wife in their entrepreneurial journey, but taking care of others is nothing new to them. There was no other business opportunity out there that they wanted to invest in besides senior care. They recognized the growing demand for in-home care needs for the more than 10,000 Americans who turn 65 daily. But they also know firsthand what goes into caring for loved ones and the challenges of finding quality care. Larry is not only an Army veteran, a member of the local Honor Guard, and a member of the local VFW chapter, but also the youngest of 17 siblings. As a teen, Larry helped care for his brother, who had quadriplegia due to an offshore injury. More recently, he continues to care for and help hire compassionate caregivers for his elder siblings.
