Just 3 years later his uncle had to relocate to Canada for personal reasons, and he took the entire book of business with him. Sanjay was once again left with a raw deal. That’s when American Scientific® was born. Sanjay started the company from scratch, spent countless hours as chief cook and bottle washer, slept in his warehouse to pack and ship boxes, and built it up brick by brick. anjay Sadana was raised in a family of business owners. His family manufactured and exported scientific instruments. Sanjay joined the business at a very early age. In 1983, when he was 19, a massive fire completely destroyed the plant. With it, the family’s dreams and ambitions turned into ashes. The resulting financial strain caused a rift between the partners and

his family was left holding the short end of the stick. The Sadanas were all but bankrupt. They scrounged pennies and took out loans to start a small manufacturing facility. Sanjay traveled the world for business development and even lived in Kenya and Russia for a few years to look for new markets. In 1996 Sanjay moved to the US to join his uncle’s business of importing
