10 - 19 SEPTEMBER SWELL Sculpture Festival

The multi-award-winning Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers has unveiled a joy-filled month-long program of celebrations for 2021. An extension of the 10-day event that has taken place for the past 72 years, the focus of the new 30-day format will be flowers and local flavours, as the event blooms into a truly region-wide experience for both locals and visitors.

Brisbane Festival will fill the city with art, music, dance, theatre, cabaret and joy. The unique program features an awe-inspiring line-up of premiere productions, cutting edge collaborations, commissioned new work, awardwinning performances, surprising venues and the brand new BOQ Festival Hub. The many highlights include the Australian premiere of Circa's luminous Silver City and First Nations Fashion - Walking in Two Worlds curated by Grace Lillian Lee.

Set along Currumbin Beach, this free 10-day outdoor exhibition presents small, medium and large-scale sculptures, installations, performance and digital works from more than 100 Queensland artists and over 145 Australian and international artists. You can also experience pop-up exhibitions across the Gold Coast including westerlySWELL at Mudgeeraba and Lower Beechmont, easterlySWELL at Chevron Island and northerlySWELL at Helensvale.
