20 year anniversary as an ESOP

50 year anniversary of The Greenery, Inc.

1973

The Greenery Inc., founded February 1st by Berry and Ruthie Edwards when they bought a small nursery with a staff of six employees, a couple of old pickup trucks and the desire to do something different.

1974

Ruthie, Berry and Lee, age 6, find an old church building—circa 1873. They moved it by barge from Ridgeland to Hilton Head Island—now the home of the Antiques & Garden Collectibles Shop.

1992

1981

The Greenery continues to grow in the early 80’s opening a maintenance shop on Arrow Road and expanding the staff at their main office.

The Greenery expands off island to serve Bluffton and surrounding area.

2019

1999

Lee Edwards moves to Charleston and opens The Greenery of Charleston LLC.

2003 ESOP created.

Hardeeville office opens to serve Bluffton, Beaufort, Sun City, Savannah.
