Tuvimos una conversación excepcional con Holly, aquí resumimos lo que nos platicó acerca de su nueva etapa de vida enfocada en Rancho San Lucas.

We had an exceptional conversation with Holly; here's what she had to say about her new phase of life focused on Rancho San Lucas.

Es un lugar único. Pasamos incontables horas pensando en lo que queríamos que "fuera" Rancho San Lucas. Este lugar era (y es) muy especial. Hicimos tantos recuerdos hermosos aquí, y creamos una comunidad centrada alrededor de lo que más nos gustaba: hermosos atardeceres, relajarse en la playa, escuchar las olas, y vivir el aquí y ahora en este espacio de lado del océano Pacífco.

La historia. Esta propiedad ha pertenecido a la familia de mi esposo, Paco Bulnes†, desde hace mucho tiempo. Él pasó gran parte de su infancia aquí; a menudo recordaba actividades que realizaba como montar a caballo, trepar a los árboles e incluso buscar tesoros. Durante décadas, Rancho San Lucas se mantuvo muy parecido a como Paco lo vivió durante su juventud.

Es un entorno desértico hermoso, privado y tranquilo. Provee una sensación de exclusividad que queremos mantener para todos los residentes. También, preservarlo es una prioridad, manteniendo una baja densidad residencial para que la vida silvestre y la vegetación sigan foreciendo como ha sido hasta ahora.

La calidad y la atención al detalle son fundamentales. Quiero que sea la mejor comunidad planifcada junto al océano Pacífco. Esto es, y seguirá siendo mi principal objetivo.

Hay varios proyectos en curso que nos entusiasman. Nos hemos asociado con Greg Norman para nuestro Norman Estates: un subdesarrollo dentro de la comunidad que comprende exclusivas casas personalizadas frente al mar. Norman Flats, es nuestra versión de un penthouse en la playa con su propio club de playa privado. Es realmente única, ya que está enclavada entre las dunas, el océano y el campo de golf.

Otra iniciativa que me entusiasma es el Mirador, que será una especie de plaza mexicana. Gran parte de mi inspiración para este proyecto procede del tiempo que pasamos en San Miguel de Allende. Me enamoré de esa ciudad y quiero refejar esa sensación de "viejo mundo" que sientes al caminar por sus calles empedradas con siglos de antigüedad.

Estar rodeada de tantas personas que comparten mi pasión por desarrollar Rancho San Lucas, siguiendo el sueño de mi marido. Mi equipo es muy trabajador e increíblemente leal. No podría ser más afortunada.

It's a unique place. We spent countless hours thinking about what we wanted Rancho San Lucas to "be." This place was (and is) very special. We made so many beautiful memories here and created a community centered around what we loved most: beautiful sunsets, relaxing on the beach, listening to the waves and living in the here and now in this Pacifc Ocean side space.

The history. This property has been in the family of my husband, Paco Bulnes†, for a long time. He spent much of his childhood here; he often recalled activities such as horseback riding, tree climbing, and even treasure hunting. For decades, Rancho San Lucas remained much the same as Paco experienced it during his youth.

It is a beautiful, private, and tranquil desert setting. It provides a sense of exclusivity that I want to maintain for all residents. Furthermore, I also want to preserve it, keeping residential density low so that wildlife and vegetation continue to fourish as it has been.

Quality and attention to detail are paramount. I want it to be the bestplanned community by the Pacifc Ocean. This objective is and will continue to be my main goal.

There are several new projects in the pipeline that we are excited about. First, we have partnered with Greg Norman for our Norman Estates: a sub-development within the community comprised of exclusive waterfront custom homes. Norman Flats are our version of a beachfront penthouse with its own private beach club. The sub-development is truly unique, as it is nestled between the dunes, ocean, and golf course.

I am also excited about the Mirador, which will be a kind of Mexican plaza. So much of my inspiration for this project came from our time in San Miguel de Allende. I fell in love with that city and want to refect that "old world" feeling you get when you walk through its centuries-old cobblestone streets.

I couldn't be more grateful or fortunate to be surrounded by so many people who share my passion for developing Rancho San Lucas, following my husband's dream. My team is hard-working and incredibly loyal.

Mi padre y Paco son mi mayor inspiración. Eran muy parecidos: tranquilos, sabios y hombres de palabra; la gente confaba en ellos, los respetaba. Los tengo a ambos cerca del corazón y me enorgullece seguir sus pasos. En cada decisión que tomo, constantemente me pregunto qué harían ellos en esa situación. Ambos están siempre conmigo.

My father and Paco are my biggest inspiration. They were very similar: quiet, wise, and men of their word; people trusted and respected them. I hold them both forever close to my heart and am very proud to follow in their footsteps. In every decision I make, I always ask myself what they would do in that situation. Both of them are always with me.
