What services do you and your team provide? What are some of your notable milestones or accomplishments?

My team specializes in residential mortgages. In 2019, we closed $30 million in volume and 142 units. For the past two years, I have received the President’s Club Award for ranking in the top 10% of loan officers at my company, and I have also been nominated for this award in 2020. In 2020, I was named one of “Hour Detroit’s” Real Estate AllStar Mortgage Professionals. I also received the Regional Platinum Club award as a top loan officer for the past three consecutive years. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of customer service in the industry. I do not consider myself to be a standard loan officer or a mortgage banker; I truly am a mortgage consultant.

What sets your business apart from similar ones?

We have a full team ready to cater to everyone’s needs. We focus on the customer just as much as we do on the client, meaning that the real estate agent is my client, and the customer is their referral. Real estate agents have commented that they never need to babysit the loan process, so they are assured that we regularly communicate with their client and do our job to the fullest extent. We truly pride ourselves on customer service and on giving each and every client and customer the level of service they deserve.

How and why did you pursue a career in this particular industry?

I knew that I liked working with people and sales, but I actually stumbled into the industry. When I first started my career, I worked as a loan officer assistant and continued to grow my knowledge and experience. I learned that the system was broken and noticed how everyone was reactive instead of proactive when dealing with their real estate partners. This helped me to shape my business and provide the customer service that my clients and customers greatly appreciate.

What do you find most fulfilling about your work?

I love to educate others on the mortgage process. I really enjoy explaining each step of the process to firsttime homebuyers and walking them through every step of the transaction. Walking into a closing room and watching a family get the keys to their new home is truly satisfying because I know I helped them get the home of their dreams. I also enjoy helping real estate agents achieve their goals and grow their business.

When you aren’t working, what’s your favorite way to spend your time?

My wife and I love to travel and see the world — we are always looking for a new city to explore. We also love to cook new recipes at home and dine at new restaurants in downtown Detroit. I love to have fun and enjoy life. Thanks to the quarantine, we got a Peloton to help us stay active at home and are now addicted! Find me @ChiknFingaPita.
