Bishop Allen was Pastor of New Bethel Church of God COGIC in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on November 19, 1948 in Monroe, Michigan and died on October 31, 2020 due to complications from a medical procedure. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Marie Allen, two brothers, six sisters and extended family.

Rance as his fans addressed him was not only a dynamic minister of the gospel but a gospel singer known all over the world for his ability to reach all audiences. I was honored to interview Bishop Rance Allen three years before his death. This is the first time we have released the actual video. Check it out below to hear his response to mentorship, whether he was tired from ministry and what song has he recorded that best suit the nation’s current state of unrest.
