7

Duration - 1 Semester

A centre designed for refugee women and children seeking escape, education, nourishment, and recreation in the country of turkey, which is known for having the highest number of refugees using passive design strategies as the major idea to tackle the context of the site. The site has a mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and moderate, wet winters. The centre has been designed with the site's circumstances in mind, and passive design strategies have been employed to decrease incident heat and cool the temperature. The centre can accommodate 60 children and 60 women in classes and includes a large multipurpose area for activities.

5-Star Hotel SPRING/SUMMER 2020-21 Location - Pune, India Brief - 200 Rooms Hotel Type - Architecture

9

Duration - 1 Semester

The thesis project was a 5-star hotel developed on a 17-acre property that was completely influenced by nature and took the notion of evolution from a tree into consideration. The project consists of 200 luxury rooms divided into four groups. The addition of floating villas to the landscape provided additional aspects. There is a banquet facility as well as two speciality eateries. I designed a skywalk for guests to walk around and get a full perspective of the property while also providing a variety of recreational activities. The property had an 18-story skyscraper with a green façade that covers 80% of the building's front with planters and trees to keep incident heat out of the rooms.

The 5 star hotel concept was designed with luxury in mind while also incorporating nature. The building was subjectively influenced by the Trees and the design was inspired by its elements. Starting with the seed, roots, blossom, trunk, branches, and leaves, every detail of the structure was taken into consideration when designing those miniatures. Natural elements can be observed in the rooms, the exterior restaurant, the sky walk, and the canopies. Water bodies were incorporated into the structure's environment, with roots serving as pathways that would constantly be near the water.

Multispeciality Hospital SPRING/SUMMER 2019-20 Location - Pune, India Brief - 200 Bedded Hospital Type - Architecture

13

Duration - 1 Semester

The challenge of developing a behavioural health facility that gives class to patients in a safe and remedial environment. It is located in the centre of the Indian metropolis of Pune. Internal health treatment at the sanitarium focuses on enabling patients to enjoy and cope with the regularity of diurnal life – for these patients, simulating ordinary diurnal conditioning like travelling to work or visiting a demesne might be di cult. The sanitarium's architecture responds to this by emphasising transitions between programmatic aspects through the use of material, size, lighting, and spatial modulation.

As a way to further anchor the hospital in the culture of its residents, the formal strategy of the building programme follows the storey of a small-town "Main Street." Treatment areas are linked to civic buildings, recreational programmes are linked to Main Street stores, and courtyards are linked to municipal and local parks. Variegated courtyard patterns are woven into the building fabric as a counterweight to the repetitious architecture. Wayfinding is aided by the landscapes, which provide a distinct feeling of location inside the huge structure. These tactics work together to help patients return to a daily schedule by creating surroundings that promote the concepts of home, work, and community.

Commercial Complex SPRING/SUMMER 2018-19 Location - Pune, India Brief - G+3 Commercial Type - Architecture

17

Duration - 1 Semester

The main design principles are vital to achieve the goal of creating a unique and attractive retail destination: Stimulate the senses and create a pleasant atmosphere in which to move. Adopting a circulation plan as a continuous loop, allowing for easy orientation and equitable access to all establishments. Part of the strategy of increasing the atrium void was to compensate the wider space with elements of interests within it. There are 45 retail spaces, 18 o ce spaces, and a rooftop restaurant. The building's elevation was meant to provide a sun barrier and operate as a shade feature for the frontal face.

The commercial complex's architecture is a celebration of the sun, taking advantage of the abundant natural light to create a unique atmosphere. Innovative 'Solar Wings' softly shade the outdoor terrace during the day and open magnificently during the evening to o er the 'best seat in the house' with a breath-taking view of the waterside promenade and fountains, reinterpreting the classic Arabic Mashrabiya. The 'Solar Wings,' with their movement path inspired by a falcon spreading its wings, are a theatrical experience in and of themselves – an integrated vision of kinetic art and engineering. The wings are a delicate blend of form and function that has been meticulously developed to induce joy.

Luxury Housing FALL/WINTER 2019-20 Location - Pune, India Brief - HIG Housing Type - Architecture

19

Duration - 1 Semester

The design objective was to create a housing project for high-income individuals that was divided into three categories: 2bhk, 3bhk, and 4bhk units. The design includes a large green open podium with a variety of attractions. It also has a café, laundry, a clubhouse, and sports facilities. One of the most inventive tall housing projects is the combination of expert plant selection, deployment of greens in all directions, structural design to accommodate the plants, and maintenance, safety, and watering systems.

Polyclinic FALL/WINTER 2018-19 Location - Jaipur, India Brief - G+1 Healthcare Type - Architecture

21

Duration - 2 Day Time Problem

The structure, which has been divided into three sections, is then connected by corridors that are open on both sides to enable air to flow in from both directions. It also works as a soul for natural illumination, allowing di used light to enter the structure. Cutting the volume across the three levels in the diagonal direction of the section generated a big void. The void combines both circulation components and natural elements such as plants and trees, bringing additional natural light to the individual spaces. As a result of the chimney e ect, the space that is opened diagonally upwards provides natural ventilation throughout the home. As a result, the need of air conditioners is reduced.

A windcatcher is used in the building as a chimney-like device made of bricks that is built on top of a building to capture the cool air and funnel it downwards into the interior area. Cool breeze flowing at higher altitudes is directed downhill through vertical holes with angled sides, also known as directional openings, with just the shaft opposing the incoming wind remaining open. The heated air flowing inside the interior area is forced out through apertures made on the opposite side of the windcatcher once the cool air enters the room. It operate as chimneys in locations where there is no cool breeze, pushing heated air upwards and out through the tower's apertures, controlling the interior atmosphere.

Retail Shopee WINTER 2018-19 Location - Mumbai, India Brief - Retail Shop Design Type - Interior

23

Duration - 1 Semester

The design brief specified a large number of stock keeping units. To relieve the high density of units, a central "wave" island display was created. The hybrid waveform in the centre, which combines display and seating functions, is unique. The island display is meticulously set as one passes through the store, revealing the objects one by one. The cube's top surface is diagonally divided to generate lighted triangular apertures that change in size. The area of the triangular aperture is determined by the cube's level. The surface area of the back-lit triangular aperture grows as the cube's level rises.
