WELCOME TO RIGHT CROSS RANCH’S
5th Annual Commercial Bred Heifer & Long Yearling Bull Sale Five years, where does the time go? Welcome to our 5th Annual Commercial Bred Heifer & Long Yearling Bull Sale. We feel that you will be completely satisfied with this set of bulls who range from straight up calving ease, to bulls that will breed on performance and power. We learn lessons each year and try to tweak our operation to make the next year that much more successful. In this industry, and life in general, if you’re not reaching for higher and higher every year, what’s the point? The bulls were supplied with tons of good, green alfalfa/brome grass. We are really happy with the results of their summer grazing! These bulls have been on a TMR ration since October 15th and will continue on this ration until the day you’d like to turn your bull out next year. We feel that you will be completely satisfied with this set of bulls who range from straight up calving ease, to bulls that will breed on performance and power. As always, we guarantee this offering will be sound, semen tested, and ready to cover your cattle on delivery day. The commercial heifers on offer are purchased from respectable, local operations and mixed with our own Angus based commercials. We enjoy choosing heifers this way because it gives us the opportunity to walk through and hand select heifers that we feel will best suit our customer’s desires. The bred heifers are our QIUETEST offering yet! We’ve worked hard to select for that when we are choosing the group in the fall. These girls are deep bodied, good footed, quiet and will go on to your operation and be great brood cows. They were bred to easy calving Black and Red Angus bulls and start calving the 1st week of April. They are confirmed pregnant and if there are any problems with any heifer, we would appreciate a phone call to be given the chance to fix the problem and make it right!

From the Desk at T Bar... Welcome to the 5th Annual Right Cross Commercial Heifer and Long Yearling Bull Sale on Monday, November 23 at the ranch, Kisbey, Saskatchewan. Each fall, Jim, and Sarah Anderson, offer a group of long yearling bulls bred for and designed for this event. Calving season is two-fold at Right Cross Ranch – early calvers for the annual spring yearling sale and later calving of long yearlings for the fall event. This young couple stay busy working a large cow herd, the heifer project and of course raising a growing family. The bulls offered are stout, rugged, and most importantly sound and fertile. They are grass run throughout the summer and brought in during the middle of October and supplemented with a high roughage ration. The lineup offers calving ease sires, power bulls for cows and bulls that will fit in both pastures whether you are looking for Reds or Blacks. These bulls come with a wintering offer and the Right Cross Guarantee. The heifers are uniform, sound and exemplify a high degree of broodiness. Hand-picked by the Andersons, you can be sure that quality is the number one selection factor… buy with confidence whether you want straight Angus or Angus/Simmental influence. The marketplace has shown us many positive signals for the livestock industry and the national cow herd inventory is at low, therefore do not hesitate to add fresh, young replacements to your herd and save a little tax. Feel free to stop by the ranch anytime prior and have a preview or give the Andersons a call to discuss bulls that will fit your requirements.

Under the notes for Lot 10 on picture day, I noted that he has tons of width over his hips and pins. The Ideal sons are usually square made with long bodies; this guy is no different. Lot 10’s dam goes back to Final Answer. We have found, over the years, the Final Answer females provide their babies with a bit more “jet fuel” than others. It is either something special in their milk or the amount the milk produced; either way the weaning weights of our Final Answer offspring are usually higher than the rest. With just a 74 pound birth weight, Lot 10 will catch your eye on sale day.

Finishing off the RCR black heifer bulls with this guy, Lot 16. Another light birth weight bull that would work to breed bigger heifers. The Ambush sons have not only been popular on the bull side, but we are over the moon happy with the females as well. They have been great mamas with nice little udders.
We run 200 cows, both purebred Hereford and commercial Red Angus cross. We have a very good market for our baldy females and therefore need longevity, soundness, and docility for our customers. Having used several Right Cross Ranch red bulls, we find, they fit the bill and add value to our calf crop!

Dan, Dorothy & Emily Jeffery We, at Cornerglen Ranch, feel very fortunate to have both of our daughters, Emily and Sarah in the cattle business. Our ranch is located at Ponoka, AB. We own purebreds as well as commercial Angus cows. Last fall, we decided to work with RCR to provide a few bulls that would complement their sale offering. All 4 bulls have been fed with the others, have the same drug program, have passed a semen test, and are 100% guaranteed.
We purchased a package of bred heifers in 2019. They were even tempered animals that handled well. They were sired by easy calving bulls with a low birth weight and the calves have gained well. We had a concern with one animal and Jim and Sarah stood behind their product. We are SATISFIED!

Commercial Bred Heifers Selling In Small Packages Suitable For Everyone These bred heifers are a combination of our own commercial Angus heifers and a group that we purchased from respected local producers. The bought heifers have Simmental influence giving us blacks with white faces, blazes, brockles, red and even tan heifers. All of the heifers will be confirmed safe in calf and were bred to bulls that, we feel, will be easy calving for our customers. The heifers were exposed to these bulls for 60 days and should begin calving on April 1st. All heifers are up to date with our ranch’s drug program. They will be sorted into packages based on color, size, and style and sold in small groups that will come into the ring on sale day. There will be videos available on all packages to help with your decision making; watch our website, Facebook page, or TEAM for those. We are excited about these girls and feel confident that they will go one to be great brood cows!
We have been buying heifers from Right Cross Ranch since they started. They are good honest heifers that make good mamas. The most important part is they calve unassisted due to their good choice of bulls they use on them. Jim and Sarah are very approachable, if you have any problems with heifers or bulls, they will stand behind their cattle!”
Doug & Leanne Wyatt, Mike & Amy Wyatt
