GRADUATION 2023 FROM THE PRESIDENT DR. ANDREW EVANS
The Spring semester passed quickly for us! It felt great to re-engage in some of the routine events that had been on a bit of a hiatus for the past three years, like our Donor Appreciation Dinner and MORE23.
In this past season, I have once again been reminded of what it takes to help Summit realize its mission in our District. A committed faculty/staff team and engaged students are central. But so are our many churches that provide opportunities of service for our students and graduates. Church leadership that mentors and challenges young people in the next generation towards the pursuit of God’s call on their lives is vital. And the many friends who support the College through their prayers and giving sustain our endeavors each year.

We are all but “workers together with God” (2 Cor. 6:1). Ultimately, all our efforts are made possible by His presence and His power. The call to be faithful to the work of His kingdom shapes our destinies and impacts our world!
God bless you!

Our 2023 Graduation Ceremony was held at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly on April 27. Over 80 students were honored with degrees and certificates this year. $160,000.00 in awards, scholarships, and bursaries were presented to returning students and incoming Freshmen. This year’s valedictorian was Jesika Troughton, and the Grad Class Scripture Reader was Terri Valcourt.

This past year, I had the privilege of developing and leading a Graduate Certificate program in Youth Ministry for youth workers in East Africa. The need for youth leaders in the region is strong, and in our first cohort we had twelve students representing five African countries (Kenya, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Burundi). In February, I had the opportunity of travelling to Kenya to participate in a youth worker training conference put on by these grad students and was able to witness firsthand the work being done there. It is incredibly exciting seeing what God is doing in the lives of youth and youth leaders in East Africa.

The Team
This spring, we welcomed two new staff members to the Summit Team. Brooklyn Richmond is our new Assistant Director of our Omega Program. She will be joining Jase Lavigne to give leadership to this one-year Discipleship program. Alex Forde will be coming on board as Summit’s new Director of Recruitment.
