55 DAYS OF SUMMER H MARCH 27, 2019 H A Special Supplement to Fort Bend Star

Hey moms and dads,

do you want to keep your children from bouncing off the walls at home this summer? Let them bounce off the walls at Sugar Land Urban Air Adventure Park instead. This summer it will never be easier to keep children (and adults) physically active and thoroughly entertained now that memberships are available. That’s unlimited access to fun that’s totally unplugged! “Come play all summer,” said owner Jennifer Sieracki. “Get your membership for the summer. You can purchase memberships online starting May 1.” There is also Camp Urbie, which is the chance for children to beat the humid summer heat and get a week-long enjoyment inside at the park. The weeklong camps are for children ages 6-13 and offer action-packed activities, ageappropriate games, all-access fun and more. Whether purchasing a membership or coming for a day, Urban Air Adventure Park has endless fun for people of all ages to enjoy. You can zip around the indoor park on the Sky Rider Coaster, reach new heights on the climbing walls, test your mettle on the Warrior Course and Battle Beam, or engage in the Adventure Hub. The Adventure Hub includes, in addition to the Sky Rider Coaster, the Ropes Course and Tubes Indoor Playground. The wall-to-wall trampoline arenas include the Dropzone, Slam Dunk Zone, the Runway Tumble Track, ProZone Performance Trampolines, two trampoline dodge ball arenas, and the APEX

Trampolines for free-style open jumping. It’s also an excellent place to celebrate a birthday or team party, or corporate event with private party rooms available. “We love doing birthday parties,” Sieracki said. Throughout the year the birthday par ty suites are available weeknights and weekends. During the summer, however, parites are also available during the daytime weekday hours which is less crowded. “We like to call Urban Air ‘unplugged fun’ and a great way to get off screens and be active. However, parents enjoy free wifi and work on laptops during summer hours while the kids play. You can bring your kids here and work,” Sieracki said. “Just open your laptop up and let your kids play.” Urban Air is also a place where companies can escape to for a little team building fun. The building has seven private party rooms equipped with cable and large, flat screen televisions complete with HDMI connections. While

the rooms are primarily used for birthday parties, they make excellent breakout rooms for corporate events. Going into its third year, the 40,000-square-foot facility currently has 30,000 square feet built out and has rapidly become one of the goto venues for children, teens, and adults. Sieracki sees it as much more than a place to go to have fun. It’s also a fitness center and an ideal place for corporate retreats and team building and school field trips. “We love to support local schools with silent auction and raffle giveaways,” Sieracki said. Urban Air also hosts Spirit Night fundraisers for local schools with 20 percent of sales going back to the school. With so much going on, it’s important to remember that there are things more important than fun and games. “Safety is a big, big part of our park,” Sieracki said. “Since we began, we have gone above and beyond industry standards to make sure that our park is safe. We want our guests to feel comfortable and know that their safety is our number one priority.” Guests can save time by signing the waiver ahead of time at urbanairsugarland. com. The café provides a variety of foods and drink for hungry hoppers and will soon be expanding its services. Urban Air will also be adding a new attraction soon, either laser tag or go-karts. For people living on the north side of Fort Bend County, Urban Air Katy (www.urbanairkaty. com) will be opening this summer. It will have many of the same attractions as the Sugar Land site but also offer indoor skydiving. “This really is a family place for active fun,” Sieracki said.
