About SubOptic The SubOptic Conference and convention is well established as the premier event in the submarine cable industry. It is the only such event to be organised for the industry by the industry, it is only held every 3 years. SubOptic 2010 will be the seventh convention in the series. The first one was held in 1986, and the last event, SubOptic 2007, held in Baltimore attracted over 700 attendees from a wide variety of organisations and geographic regions.
