Why Support SUA?

Soka University of America is unique in its approach as to who it selects for its rigorous, rewarding liberal arts path. Our goal is to foster a steady stream of global citizens dedicated to living a contributive life. But the cost of a higher education can be a roadblock for many bright young people who want a college degree. Most higher education institutions depend on students paying tuition to support their operations.

Soka is different.
We depend on our endowment to cover the majority of costs associated with running the university. More than 90 percent of Soka students need financial aid to pay for their college education. We unlock their potential by removing financial obstacles.
This is why it is imperative for our endowment to continue to grow. These promising minds, eager to attend Soka and contribute to the world, make your contribution so important.
The students, faculty and staff at Soka sincerely appreciate your support. They recognize your gifts as their avenue to improving the world.
