Peace Gala Report

The 15th annual Peace Gala, Celebrating a Vision of Peace, was held on the Soka campus on Saturday, October 12, 2019. The Soka Scholarship endowment will benefit from the more than $742,000 raised during the evening.

Christelle Inema, class of 2021, shared her amazing journey from Rwanda to Soka University of America with the event’s 417 guests.

Acclaimed pianist, composer and humanitarian, Keiko Matsui, whose music is a conduit for peace, kindness, love and light, enchanted the audience with her solo performance.

The master of ceremonies for the evening was Kurt Knutsson, better known as “Kurt the CyberGuy.” Kurt is the chief tech contributor on Fox News and Fox Business networks.
