News from St Mary’s Academy

In the new term starting on Monday 6th September, we look forward to welcoming everyone back, especially our new children and families who are starting in Reception. The new opening update should hopefully help everyone get used to being back to normal whilst encouraging our children back into learning in the safest possible way.

We are looking forward to lots of exciting topics in each of the year groups, including ‘Nurturing Nurses’ in Year 1, ‘Magical Mapping’ in Year 2, ‘Pre-historic Britain’ in Year 3 and ‘Vikings’ in Year 4. The children always love starting a new topic of learning!

We also hope to have some of our usual Autumn term clubs and events lined up, including our children's individual School Photographs, Assemblies and Collective Worship, Concerts and hopefully many more... we have really missed all of the opportunities for whole school activities over the last 18 months... so much to look forward to!

We hope you have all enjoyed a safe and relaxing summer and look forward to yet another exciting new term ahead.
