Regular youth club nights in Little Stoke

T

he Stokes Youth Centre is the safe space to be for young people in the Little Stoke area. With a range of exciting activities, and fun and approachable youth workers, it’s where young people can find their next hobby, a supportive group of friends and quality advice and guidance. Run by Creative Youth Network, the youth centre is open for 11- to 18-year-olds to come and take part in activities such as sports, music, arts & crafts and, a particular favourite, the indoor bouncy castle. The youth club has also organised trips, including to the cinema, theatre and AirHop. Billy (12) said: “It’s a fun place to hang out and the staff are great.” One of the best features of the youth club is the amazing music studio, which gives young people the opportunity to write,

perform and record music. Young people improve their confidence and self-esteem here, as well as having a positive impact on their mental health. As mental health is a growing concern for young people nationwide, the youth club provides a safe environment where young people develop supportive networks of friends and approachable professionals. Wellbeing practitioners will also be joining the team to ensure young people have access to high quality support as soon as they need it. The Stokes Youth Centre is open on the following nights: • Active Mondays 5:30-7:30pm; ages 11 to 14 • Hang out Thursdays 7-9pm; ages 14 to 18 • The Weekend Starts Here Fridays 6-8pm; ages 11 to 18
