n 18th July, the Old School Rooms (OSR) troop of 1st Stoke Gifford Scout Group attended the Pirate Bay Golf Centre in Hambrook to celebrate the end of the summer term and invited the Avon county commissioner Graham Brant along to make the presentations of five Chief Scout’s Gold Awards. Dan White, Matthew Coggan, Josh Nicholson-Warn, Dylan Harrison and Jack Dobie have spent the last four years working hard on the requirements of the top award for the scout section, completing the nine challenge awards in Adventure, Outdoors, Expedition, Skills, Creative, Teamwork, Team Leader, Promise and World, plus attending camps and earning activity badges in some of the 72 available categories. After the presentation and congratulations from leaders and the county commissioner, the troop joined in with the celebrations with cake and drinks.
