NCJW St. Louis volunteers were out in force Sunday, July 31 for the 22nd year of the Back To School! Store. The annual event provides school supplies and other essentials to underserved elementary school children throughout the St. Louis area. The 2022 event distributed supplies to 2,000 children. Since the program began in 2001, NCJWSTL has served more than 25,000 children in the community. Prior to COVID, the Back To School! Store was an in-person event where kids got to choose their supplies with the assistance of volunteer “personal shoppers.” For the past three years, NCJWSTL has mobilized drivers to pick up the supplies at Congregation Temple Israel and drop them off at participating agencies.
