What voters will see on the November 3 ballot
St. Louis city and St. Louis County voters will see different ballots in the Nov. 3 general election. Ballots also vary by congressional and state legislative district and, in St. Louis County, by municipality, school district and other taxing districts.
St. Louis city charter questions
Special aldermanic elections — Yes or No: Would use the city’s nonpartisan, top-two runoff system in special elections for aldermen, the same system used in regular city elections.
Your ballot may be different: Voters will see only the district and local races that apply to the address where they are registered. St. Louis County’s Sept. 1 ballot-content report is for informational purposes and is not a final sample ballot. The St. Louis city Election Board had not posted its November sample ballot as of Sept. 7.
Charter modernization — Yes or No: Would update language and references throughout the city charter, including references to city departments, publication methods, state statutes, pay scales and terminology. The city’s final November sample ballot had not been posted as of Sept. 7, so proposition designations are not included.
