PHIL SAVOY Varsity Wide Receivers Coach
Seasons Coaching at St. John’s: 10 High School: Carroll (DC) College: University of Colorado Coach Savoy returns for his tenth season as the varsity wide receivers coach. After graduating from Carroll High School, Coach Savoy went on to play wide receiver for the University of Colorado, where he ranked second all-time in receptions for the Buffaloes. He also set a university record with eight catches in a single quarter. As a senior, he was an All-Big 12 selection. After being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, Coach Savoy spent time with the Baltimore Ravens as a special teams player. He also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks and St. Louis Rams. After his time in the NFL, he played in the Arena Football League. Coach Savoy and his wife Kristina live in Washington, D.C., with their daughter Chynna and their newborn son Malachi.

ST. JOHN’S FOOTBALL: FALL 2012
Coach Daniels is entering his fourth season as the varsity defensive backs coach after previously serving as the St. John’s JV Head Coach. He joined the St. John’s staff after serving for two years as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Running Backs Coach at DuVal High School, and two years as the Varsity Special Teams and Running Backs coach at Reservoir High School. Coach Daniels attended DuVal High School (Class of 1995), where he played line and linebacker. In college, he was a member of Virginia State’s CIAA Championship team. At Virginia State, Coach Daniels again played linebacker. This past season, three of the players Coach Daniels directly coached attained first-team all-conference honors: Billy Webb (DB), Zach Quarles (KR), and Peter Rosa (kicker). Coach Daniels is currently an educator in the Prince George’s County school system. He and his wife, Ivy, have two daughters, Sarah and Lauren. They live in Accokeek, Md.
