Stephen Monro

Stephen Monro is an attorney in Washington State with a long career in law, construction, and real estate. He has founded and managed firms, including the Monro Law Firm and Platinum Law Group, and is admitted to practice in all Washington State Courts, as well as the Western and Eastern District Federal Courts. In addition to his legal practice, he holds licenses as a general contractor, real estate broker, and IRS tax preparer. For more than 25 years, he has offered pro bono legal support to people who could not otherwise obtain representation, focusing on civil litigation, personal injury, and property-related cases. He was born in Seattle, Washington, in 1952. After completing his secondary education, he attended Central Washington University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He later completed a Juris Doctor from City University in Los Angeles and returned to pursue a Master of Business Administration from City University. Before embarking on his legal career, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era. His service taught discipline, leadership, and the ability to stay focused under pressure, qualities that have remained with him throughout his professional life. Stephen began practicing law in 1996 and has since represented clients across Washington State in both state and federal courts. He is also active in professional associations, including the Washington State Bar Association, the Washington State Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice.
