Exploring the connection we have to our Earth and to each other, and our contribution to the cycle of life. Artist Rebecca Louise Law is known for creating immersive installations with natural materials. Preserved flowers – individually sewn and suspended – have become the signature of her most recognised works across the globe, with visitors invited to navigate through them. Rebecca’s new installation in Middleton Hall will emerge with the help of the local community collecting and donating local plant life to supplement her existing collection – and then working together to wire each individual element to create a huge, captivating hanging garden.

The installation has inspired a specially created soundscape by sound–artist Jason Singh. Using sensors attached to the plant materials, Jason will capture biodata to reveal their songs as they move from this life to the next.
