’45 Donald Boland and his wife of 67 years, Christine, of Titusville, FL love being the parents of six children, grandparents to eight, and great-grandparents to seven. Donald is celebrating his 90th year and is proud to be the oldest working Deacon in the Diocese of Orlando for the last 39 years.

’66 David Quammen returned to St. Xavier for the Ignatian Summit at St. Xavier: Our Planet, Our Home, Our Responsibility in February 2018 where he was Keynote Speaker. David is a renowned author for National Geographic.

’70 Ron Lenzer, an engineer at Babcock &

50’s ’51 Ed Koenig was awarded the 2017 Habitat for Humanity “Ohio Volunteer of the Year.”

’54 Roger E. Kanet, received the Marquis Who’s Who, Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in February 2018. ’54 Tom Penderghast lives in the greater Los Angeles area and plays guitar and banjo for the band Forever Young. Members of the band are all in their 80’s or 90’s. Tom is one of the younger members of the group and says, “At this age, it is nice to be considered one of the youngest of any group!”

’66 Dick Felger retired January 1 after selling his hospital supply chain software company which he started with three guys in a garage. Sold the company with over 70 employees and serving over 400 hospitals nationwide. ’66 Mike “Harby” Harbison will be inducted into the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Officials Hall of Fame in June, 2018.

’67 Steve Leverone and wife Mimi will celebrate 44 years of marriage on July 5th. Steve, Vice President of Sales, will celebrate 42 years of employment with Schulhoff Tool Rental this fall.

Wilcox (B&W) was recently named the company’s 39th recipient of its Engineering Honors Award. Ron has served B&W for over 40 years beginning in 1973 as a summer student employee while attending Purdue University where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in mechanical engineering. Ron is a registered professional engineer in the state of Ohio, and serves as a primary support author for B&W’s STEAM/its generation and use, the world’s longest continually published and most relied-upon engineering text of its kind.

’70 John Gallagher is a physician for Mercy Health and was recently published in the March 2017 edition of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery following extensive research about using insulin after total joint replacement to prevent infection.

’68 Michael J. Naseef III and his wife, Gayle, are the proud grandparents to four granddaughters, Lilly, Lucy, Marcela and Rory, who just joined the family in August, 2017. Michael is owner of MJNIII, LLC.

’56 James Schwartz is enjoying retirement. Having earned multiple degrees from Miami University and the University of Wisconsin, he taught journalism at the University of WisconsinEau Claire. He also graduated from Western Washington University’s Army Language School where he learned Russian and spent six years as Army Security for the United States Army. He thoroughly enjoyed being a reporter for the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Minneapolis Tribune and the Louisville Courier-Journal. James and his wife raised three wonderful daughters.
