PRESIDENT’S DINNER
2013 PRESIDENT’S DINNER HONORS VERBRYKE (’71) AND HEIDT (’69) St. Xavier High School benefactors and supporters gathered for the annual President’s Dinner on Tuesday, May 7. Fr. Tim Howe SJ thanked guests and led the evening of honors and awards. Guests were led in prayer by interim principal Mr. Bill Sandquist. Bill received a standing ovation from guests thanking him for his 32 years of dedicated service to St. Xavier. Special guest Mr. Terry Tyrrell and his wife Marygrace were introduced. Terry will take the reins as principal of St. Xavier beginning July 1. The strings ensemble Men in Black, the choral ensemble comprised of students in G-Bell choir, and the St. X Jazz Band delighted guests with outstanding musical performances. St. X Board Chairman Mr. Mike McGraw (’73) addressed guests and thanked all those in attendance for their dedication to the students of St. Xavier High School. Seven St. X faculty and staff members were recognized for 25 years of dedicated service. The faculty members group honored included: Mr. James Brower, Mr. David Clapp,

Mr. Donald DiGiacomo, Mr. David Eby, Mrs. Kimberly McLaughlin, Mrs. Kathleen Sollmann and Mr. James Telles. St. Xavier High School board members Mr. Richard Haglage (’73), Rev. Patrick McGrath SJ, Mr. Michael McGraw (’73) and Dr. G. Susan Mosley-Howard were honored and thanked for their service. The evening ended with two very special award presentations. Rev. William Verbryke SJ (’71) was honored as the 2013 Magis Award winner and Dr. Rob Heidt, Jr. (’69) received the Insignis Award.
