REVIEW with audio delay, local HDMI loop-out, null-modem-integrated RS232, and HDMI pass-through. As with all models in the J+P lineup, it integrates seamlessly with any generation of the company’s products. This allows integrators to select the J+P solution that best fits the job, providing an evolutionary, scalable, systems-approach to 4K video signal distribution requirements.
The video wall at the WyreStorm booth features WyreStorm NetworkHD 600 Series AV-over-IP transmitters and receivers controlled via the Q-SYS Platform
Q-SYS is a software-based AV&C platform built around IT standards, which allows it to easily control nearly any networked endpoint without dedicated control hardware. With its open API and Q-SYS Scripting Engine (available with optional feature licenses from QSC), programmers can easily develop control scripts and plugins for seamless integration of any third-party network device into the Q-SYS Platform. “This integration between WyreStorm and QSC products is a shining example of SDVoE and the power of software to define AV experiences,” said Justin Kennington, president of the SDVoE Alliance. “It also answers a question we are often asked - ‘Can I use a thirdparty control system?’. Clearly the answer is YES!
Just Add Power (J+P) unveiled their 725POE 2GΩ/3G+ SDI Power over Ethernet (PoE) transmitter at InfoComm 2018, demonstrating the transmitter’s scalable, cost-effective approach to adding SDI video sources to a 4K system. The new J+P 725POE 2GΩ/3G+ SDI PoE transmitter provides SD-/ HD-/3G-SDI format support to Just Add Power’s 3G HD over IP system. Eliminating the need for an SDI-HDMI converter in the IP video distribution chain, integrators have the flexibility to add an SDI source to their 4K infrastructure. The Aurora IPX-TC3 is a 10Gbps IPBaseT transceiver capable of 4K60 4:4:4 with a frame latency of 100us (.1ms) offered in copper and fiber. According to Aurora, the IPX-TC3 “is the first ever 10G SDVoE product to have redundant fiber version and selectable copper fiber in a single unit.” It also supports the new ReAX IP Control engine option (IPE-REAX-1) base on Javascript, which allows IP control automation throughout the network without the need of an external proprietary control engine. Kramer showcased a unique, end-to-end, video wall application at InfoComm 2018. This innovative AV over IP solution for 4K60 video wall installations can scale up to 256 screens and support an unlimited number of sources simultaneously. Kramer KDS encoders/decoders coupled with Kramer Network, the company’s enterprise management platform, represent the core of the solution. Kramer Network enables simple and intuitive AV routing with quick and efficient device management for IT administrators – who can choose to manage the video wall using traditional scenarios or automated scenarios that are both quick and simple to create. Completing the solution is Kramer Control, providing simplified end user control of the video wall layout from any touch screen. The result is a dynamic and interactive video wall that can adjust to the needs of the end user with a single touch.
