he festive season is upon us, and here at InStreatham BID, we’re looking forward to the simple things – the comfort foods, time-honoured traditions, heartwarming gifts and cosy homes. Christmas in Streatham kicks off on Small Business Saturday - December 4th, when we host the annual Lights On Streatham event, and Father Christmas will turn on the Christmas lights at Babington Plaza; there will be festive stalls, mulled wine, carol singing and more! In addition, we’re adding some more cheer to the streets to enhance your shopping experience, with an illuminated gift display outside the Odeon by Pendennis Road. The spectacular light display and enchanting Christmas trees make for a wonderful backdrop for your Christmas photos. You can capture it in all its glittering glory all through December, while shopping the high street or taking part in our family Festive Trail - a great way to get the kids out of the house over the holiday for some active fun. After spending last Christmas under strict social restrictions, we hope you’re excited to get back on Streatham High Road to pick up some great finds from fresh produce at the local butchers and greengrocers, to buying gifts for friends and family.
