U10 team wins Silver Stick title

This past weekend the Southpoint Essex U10 team travelled to Woodstock to compete in the Silver Stick Regional Championships.

The Capitals’ persistent offensive pressure led to outscoring opponents with 31 goals, while steady goaltending and swarming defense held challengers to only 5 goals in 5 games all weekend.

Round robin play began with a 2-1 win over the host team Woodstock, followed by a 14-1 win against London Jr. Mustangs and a 2-1 win verses Milton Hawks. This performance secured a first-place seating for the semi-final matchup against the Branford 99’ers.
