There are many ways that individuals and organizations can support the Great Commission work of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and The College at Southeastern, including online gifts, cash/check, IRAs, stock and securities, donating real property, or planned gifts.

Corporate philanthropy also plays a key role in bolstering the mission of the school and ensuring that we leverage all available resources to reach the four billion unengaged or unreached people across the globe with the gospel.

You have probably heard of William Tyndale, who produced the first English translation of the Bible directly from Hebrew and Greek texts. Tyndale was executed by Henry VIII in an effort to stamp out Tyndale’s influence. However, Henry VIII was unsuccessful because of the efforts of someone you have probably not heard of, Humphrey Monmouth.

Humphrey Monmouth was a merchant with a vast fleet of ships. Due to Tyndale’s ministry, Monmouth became a believer after which he began to financially support the ministry of Tyndale which included his Bible translation work. He also used his vast fleet of ships to transport Tyndale’s Bible all over the British empire. Copies of the translation were scattered so far over the globe that Henry VIII was never able to destroy Tyndale’s work or eradicate his influence.

Today, business leaders and corporations play as integral a role in ensuring the ongoing Gospel proclamation among the nations as they did in Monmouth and Tyndale’s time. We invite you to leverage your roles within a privately-held business or corporation to support Southeastern through sponsorship opportunities throughout the year.

Thank you for your consideration and support.

Thank you for your consideration of being a part of the 17th annual Southeastern Classic. This event is so much more than a golf tournament.

Businesses, churches, families, and individual players have contributed over $1,175,788.43 to help support students at Southeastern over the previous 16 years of this tournament. This is the equivalent of providing a full-ride scholarship to 145 students for an entire year. This tournament is making an incredible financial impact for every student at Southeastern. More importantly, the monies raised through this tournament are making an eternal impact.

We hope you will be able to join us and learn more about this Great Commission school as you make your way around the course. The signs displayed, and the testimony of our students and staff members are but a small sample of the amazing things God is doing at and through Southeastern Seminary.

It is very easy to come be a part of charity golf tournaments and walk away not knowing any more about the benefitting organization than when you came. So our prayer for you, if you participate this year, is that you would not only remember having a great time at the Southeastern Classic, but that this tournament is helping Southeastern as we seek to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by equipping students to serve the Church and fulfill the Great Commission.

Includes for each player:

• Magic Eraser Package (two mulligans & drive from the red tees)

• Boxed Lunch & Banquet Ticket • Range Balls • Goodie Bag Hole Sponsor

The Great Commission remains the mission of the believer on the field and in the marketplace. The Financial and Alumni Development Office will host an event to encourage and resource business owners and leaders to leverage their positions within the marketplace to make disciples and glorify Christ.

“I was excited to play in this tournament because not only did we have a great time on the golf course together, we also were able to participate in the school’s mission of sending students around the world with the gospel.”

KYLE TUCKER, PRINCIPAL FINANCIAL ADVISOR

"I am grateful to support Southeastern’s Sporting Clays Shoot. This event brings together two of my joys—supporting Southeastern and shooting sporting clays. I look forward to participating in this event in the future and pray others will join."

DAVID SIX, OWNER

“I enjoyed the time of fellowship and learning at Southeastern's Faith at Work event. It was a fantastic event of business leaders sharing how to better integrate their faith and work for the Great Commission. The event was both inspiring and practical. As a sponsor, Eventide was proud to promote and endorse this gathering of business leaders—and the leaders and staff at Southeastern Seminary were incredible hosts!”

Southeastern is a Great Commission school. From our undergraduate program through our doctoral degrees, our students and graduates are pursuing the nations for the glory of King Jesus.

Last words are meant to be lasting words, and that means that Jesus’ final command is our first priority: “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

Our graduates are making an impact in all 50 states and in over 40 countries. Yet, the task is not complete, because there still remains over three billion people who have never heard the name of Jesus.

Our goal is to advance the kingdom of God and combat global lostness by sending 1,000 gospel-prepared warriors every year to join over 16,000 graduates who are on mission for Christ.

To achieve this goal, we are launching For the Mission, a four-year campaign that addresses four strategic initiatives that allow us to be more effective in fulfilling the Great Commission.

This is for the students by providing more scholarships and financial aid.

This is for the faculty by establishing faculty chairs, professorships and other academic initiatives.

This is for the campus through the construction and renovation of needed facilities.

And this is for the cause by giving mission critical support for our immediate financial needs.

We are doing this for the mission. It’s four years. Four strategic initiatives. For the glory of God. Will you join us?
