t’s been decades since nine women were found dead in connection with a series of gruesome crimes known as the “Highway Killings.” The bodies of two more women were never recovered. Time has yet to yield all the answers, and the case is active and ongoing, according to Gregg Miliote, spokesman for the Bristol County DA’s
office. In some instances time has even further obscured the truth, paving the way for misinformation and rumors in a complicated case that encompasses many moving pieces. “It’s almost like a child’s game of telephone,” says journalist Maureen Boyle. “That’s always been an issue in this case overall. ‘I heard this,’ ‘So-and-so said.’”
